01 / Context

A recruitment product built around the full hiring journey.

HireMore brings the recruitment lifecycle into one platform, from creating and publishing jobs to sourcing candidates, evaluating applicants, running interviews and moving people through hiring stages.

Design question

How can AI remove repetitive recruitment work while keeping recruiters informed, confident and in control of important decisions?

02 / Contribution

My role & scope.

Product Designer across the end-to-end recruitment experience.

  • Information architecture and navigation
  • Recruitment workflows and data-heavy interfaces
  • AI-assisted job and candidate experiences
  • Interview and candidate-facing flows
  • Reusable UI patterns and interaction states

03 / Recruitment workflow

One workspace for the hiring process.

The product structure connects jobs, candidates, interviews and tasks without making recruiters jump between disconnected tools.

  1. 01

    Create and improve jobs

Guided and automated job creation helps recruiters define roles, screening questions and evaluation criteria before publishing.

  2. 02

    Review candidates

Candidate lists, saved views, filters, scores and profiles support fast review while keeping the underlying candidate information accessible.

  3. 03

    Manage interviews and hiring stages

Applicants move through clear stages with interview status, evaluation information, transcripts, summaries and follow-up tasks in context.

04 / AI experiences

AI as an assistant, not the decision maker.

Design decision 01

Make recommendations understandable

AI scoring, summaries and job health insights are presented alongside supporting information so recruiters can understand what the system is suggesting.

The trade-off: More context can increase cognitive load, so the interface should surface the most useful explanation first.

Design decision 02

Separate automated and guided creation

Job creation is split into AI Automated and AI Guided paths, giving users a choice between faster generation and more control over the process.

The trade-off: Automation saves time, while guided input gives recruiters more control over the final result.

Design decision 03

Turn job health into action

Job health scoring is paired with improvement suggestions so the score becomes a useful workflow rather than just another metric.

Connect with local communities, discover new places, and share experiences in one social platform. Request Figma File ↗

05 / Interview experience

Designing for both sides of the interview.

Interview management needed to work for recruiters while remaining clear for candidates completing AI audio or video interviews.

  • Interview setup and microphone checks
  • Candidate instructions and completion flow
  • Scheduled and completed interview states
  • AI-generated transcripts and summaries
  • Invalid, expired and unavailable interview states

06 / System & states

Consistency across a complex product.

The interface relies on reusable patterns for tables, tabs, filters, dropdowns, modals, forms, cards, statuses and saved views. These patterns help keep dense recruitment workflows predictable.

Clear status feedback

Success, pending, completed, cancelled, expired, invalid and error states make system feedback visible at the point where it matters.

Data without unnecessary friction

Tables, metrics, filters, scores and saved views are structured around the tasks recruiters perform repeatedly.

Control across the organisation

Permissions, team collaboration, credits, billing, security, notifications and organisation settings remain part of the same workspace.

07 / Reflection

Making AI useful without making it opaque.

The central design challenge was not simply adding AI to recruitment. It was deciding where automation helps, where explanation is necessary and where the recruiter should remain firmly in control.

What this project strengthened

Designing HireMore meant working across product strategy, information architecture, complex workflows, data-heavy screens, candidate-facing experiences and a large set of system states.
